The machine displays "Overheat" and the red LED lights up.

The engine of the document shredder has overheated. Please let the machine cool down for about 60 minutes. As soon as the red LED goes out, you can restart the machine.

The machine displays "Overload" and the red LED lights up.

Please check if you have inserted more than 10 sheets of 80g paper at the same time. Reverse the blockage by setting the sliding switch to "Rev". If the cutting unit is not clogged, you should oil it with special HSM oil.

The cutting performance of the file shredder is decreasing and an increasing noise is developing.

The cutting unit should be oiled if cutting performance decreases, a sound develops and after emptying the paper container. Inject the special oil over the entire width of the feed slot onto the blade shafts. Then, press the "R" key to reverse the cutting unit until all paper residues are released. If this does not solve the problem, please contact our customer service.

The cutting unit does not switch off after shredding.

The light barrier is interrupted. It can be cleaned with compressed air. Please note that you need to clean the sender and the receiver. If this does not remove the fault, please contact our customer service.

The machine does not receive any electricity; LEDs do not light up in "Auto" or "REV" mode.

Please check that the upper part is seated correctly. A "click" should be heard when placing it. This noise is caused by a small plastic nose which is on the inside of the viewing window (on the collecting container). If this plastic nose is broken or bent, the contact switch on the top part cannot be pressed properly and the power connection is not enabled. If the machine still does not work, please contact our customer service.

The machine displays "Bin Full" and the red LED lights up.

Please remove the power plug and empty the cut paper container. If this is not full, please check the fill level sensor at the bottom of the top part. If this is dirty, you can clean it with a dry brush, compressed air or a soft cloth. If the LED still does not go out, please contact our customer service.

The machine is still only running in reverse.

The light barrier in the insertion slot is defective. Please contact our customer service.

The CD cutting unit is no longer working.

Please check if the insertion slot is clogged. If this is not the case, please contact our customer service.

The machine is running but it is not drawing anything in. / The machine "rattles".

Please check if the insertion slot is clogged. If this is not the case, please contact our customer service.

The machine is clogged and so does not work any more.

Try to soften the cutting unit with plenty of oil. Please make sure that there is some paper in the collecting container to avoid unnecessary soiling. Once the blockage has been softened a bit, try to push it downwards using a thin piece of cardboard. If this does not remove the jam, please contact our customer service.
