A paper jam occurred during shredding. The display element "Cutting unit blocked" lights up.

If a paper jam occurred, the cutting unit reverses for a few seconds and pushes the paper out. If necessary, the paper can be reversed by pressing the "R" key. If this does not remove the paper jam, soften the blockage with plenty of special cutting block oil for about 60 minutes. The paper can then be pressed down using a thin piece of cardboard. Please ensure that you machine is switched on while pressing down so that the engine can provide support in removing the blockage. If the paper jam cannot be removed by the described procedure, please contact our customer service.

The document shredder only runs backwards and not forwards.

This indicates a defect in the controller or the light barrier. Please contact our customer service.

The paper shredder does not draw in any paper even though the engine is running (also: The engine "rattles").

First, check if the feeding slot above the cutting unit is clogged. The fault is remedied when the paper is removed. However, if the fault is accompanied by an unusual noise, broken gear wheels could be the cause. If there are no unusual noises, the cutting rollers might be worn. Please contact us in both cases. Please contact our customer service.

The machine hums as soon as paper is inserted; the paper is not drawn in. The document shredder only runs backwards.
The paper shredder does not turn on and the green LED "Ready for operation" does not light up.

Please check that the power supply is properly connected and that the power switch is at "i". If the machine can still not be switched on, please contact our customer service.

The paper is briefly drawn in and immediately reversed.
The paper is reversed and pushed into the autofeed cartridge, which causes a paper jam.
The document shredder does not run; the LED "Cutting unit blocked" lights up.

The machine was overloaded. Please let the document shredder cool down for about 60 minutes. If the LED is still lighting up, please contact our customer service.

The rollers in the autofeed cartridge do not turn.

This indicates a defect in the feeder unit (drive belts or chain). Please contact our customer service.

The document shredder does not turn off; it runs in "continuous mode".

Please check if the light barrier in the insertion shaft is dusty. This can be cleaned using a dry brush or with compressed air. If the error cannot be solved by the described procedure, please contact our customer service.

The display "Ready for operation" briefly flashes at regular intervals.

The machine was not used for 2 minutes. It is in automatic standby mode. The machine starts automatically as soon as paper is inserted. If this display remains, please contact our customer service.

The display "Container full" lights up.

Please empty the collecting container. If this display continues to appear after the empty collecting container was used again, the bag-full flap at the bottom of the cutting unit could be hanging. This points vertically downwards in the starting position; it can be loosened by hand. If the fault still persists, please contact our customer service.

The engine is running continuously but does not draw in any paper from the autofeed cartridge.

There is probably a paper jam in the autofeed cartridge. Please remove the blockage and also the paper clips and staples from the paper. Please remember that the autofeed cartridge may only shred non-stapled and non-creased paper. It may also be that too much paper was placed in the autofeed cartridge. Check that the machine draws in the paper when a lower amount is inserted. If the document shredder also does not draw in any individual sheets over the autofeed cartridge, you can start the document shredder in continuous mode by pressing the "Ready for operation" key for 4 seconds. Please then check if the feeder roller of the autofeed cartridge turns and whether this can be stopped using fingers. If it does not turn or cannot be stopped using fingers, the feeder unit needs to be replaced. In this case, please contact our customer service.

The display "Container or safety element open" is lit.

Please check that the cut paper container is inserted properly in the floor unit. There is a black magnet at the top-right inside the cut paper container. Please check that this magnet is in the gap that is provided for this purpose. Please also check that the safety element on the paper feed is properly closed. If the LED is still lighting up, please contact our customer service.

The autofeed cartridge does not rise.

As described in the operating manual, please try to unlock the autofeed cartridge with the USB stick that was included in the delivery. If the cartridge can still not be opened, please contact our customer service.

The autofeed cartridge cannot be unlocked.

If the USB stick, with which the autofeed cartridge was locked, is no longer available, or the cartridge cannot be unlocked, please contact our customer service.

The autofeed cartridge cannot be locked.

If the cartridge cannot be locked despite the inserted USB stick (LED does not flash or change to red, the cartridge does not "click" or close), please check that the autofeed cartridge is properly closed. If the problem cannot be solved, please contact our customer service.

The engine stops after running for about 2 minutes.

There is a paper jam in the autofeed cartridge. The document shredder stops after about 2 minutes if the light barrier on the paper feed is not covered. Please remove the blockage and also the paper clips and staples from the paper. Please remember that the autofeed cartridge may only shred non-stapled and non-creased paper. If this does not remove the error, please contact our customer service.

The document shredder does not run; the LED "Container open" lights up.

Please first check that the paper bin is correctly seated in the base frame (otherwise, the contact does not switch - listen for a clicking sound!) or adjust the position of the paper bin if necessary. It might also be that the safety element on the paper feed is not closed properly. Please close this. If the error cannot be solved by the described procedure, please contact our customer service.

The paper in the autofeed cartridge is not drawn in.

Please start the machine in continuous operation by pressing the control element "Ready for operation" for about 4 seconds. Try to stop the feeder roller on the autofeed cartridge by hand. If this is possible, this indicates a defective feeder unit. In addition, it is also possible that the feeder rollers are worn. In both cases, please contact our customer service.

The LED display next to the USB port lights up.

This LED display informs you of the status of the autofeed cartridge:
-Continuous light green: The cartridge is full and can be opened.
-Flashing light green: The USB stick has been inserted and the cartridge unlocked.
-Continuous light red: The cartridge is filled with paper and locked.
-Flashing light red: The USB stick has been inserted and the cartridge locked.
-LED does not light up: The cartridge contains no paper and can be opened.

The machine does not start when paper is inserted - no red LED lights up.

Please first check if the green LED "Ready for operation" lights up. If the LED lights up and no other error message is displayed, this indicates a defective light barrier. Please contact our customer service.

The machine starts but no paper was inserted.

Please check if the light barrier in the insertion shaft is dusty. You can clean this using a soft cloth, a dry brush or with compressed air. While doing this, please also check if the sensor in the autofeed unit is blocked or dirty. This is about 3 cm to the right of the feeder rollers in the paper cartridge. If the error cannot be solved by the described procedure, please contact our customer service.

The cutting performance of the file shredder is decreasing and an increasing noise is developing.

The cutting unit should be oiled if cutting performance decreases (with particle cut), a noise develops and after emptying the paper container. Inject the special oil over the entire width of the feed slot onto the cutting rollers. Then, press the "R" key to reverse the cutting unit until all paper residues are released. The oiling of cutting units with strip cut improves the cutting performance and avoids squeaking noises resulting from jammed paper residues.
