Founding of the private company, Hermann Schwelling Maschinenbau in Salem, Germany. Manufacture of various components and supply to other industrial companies.

Development, production and marketing of balers.

1975
Founding of plant 1 in Salem.

Addition of paper shredders to the product portfolio. Marketing carried out under the name Tempo.

1991
Founding of plant 2 in Reichenbach and setting up of baler production.

Founding of plant 3 in Frickingen, setting up of office shredder production and certification in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001.

Founding of the US subsidiary.

Founding of the UK subsidiary.

Market launch of the V-Press vertical baler line.

Market launch of the HSM shredstar paper shredder.
