Recognising that space is at a premium, particularly inside industrial and commercial premises, HSM has now weather proofed their newest baler for external operation. The new V-Press 1160 produces a large mill-sized bale ideal for recycling and improved returns and is now suitable for exterior use.

An advantage of producing mill size bales is that, because of the reduced transport costs and more economic handling, this can result in a higher price being obtained from the processor or recycler, or even directly from a mill itself, for the waste material. Therefore, the capital cost of the new V-Press 1160 Baler, which is very competitively priced, can be recouped that much quicker. Alternatively, lease purchase and rental options will allow cost savings to be made on a weekly / monthly basis.

The new V-Press 1160 Baler is weather proofed to IP55 and easy to operate thanks to features that include: a large feed hopper at a convenient loading height, guide rails in the chamber for insertion of the strapping tapes or wires from the front of the machine, and simple selection of the torsion control. This allows the baler to be set to the correct density for baling different materials, including pressure reduction for use with foils and films.

The V-Press 1160 has a large chamber depth of 1100mm and a pressing force of 53 tonnes. This has a hydraulic mechanism for easy ejection of the completed bales onto a waiting pallet. The operator can monitor the operation and status of the machine via the LCD screen at any time.
