2010-08-11 - HSM sets new standards at the IFAT ENSORGA in Munich

The absolute highlight of the trade fair stand is the HSM VK 8818 R fully automatic channel baling press, which is suitable for professional disposal management and for major industrial applications, such as the processing industry, waste disposal companies, PET/bottle disposal, department stores and the printing and paper industry.

With an extremely high pressing force of 1100 kN and a large filling hatch of approx. 1000 x 1800 mm, the HSM VK 8818 R is suitable for a wide variety of materials, such as cardboard, paper and foils. This all-rounder is also easily able to deal with bulky material, DSD products, sorted waste material and substitute fuels.

Depending on the material, bales can weigh up to 700 kg at 1200 mm length, and reach dimensions of approx. 1100 x 750 x 600–1200 mm; they are held together by fully automatic wire strapping, even if the materials are very expansive. The optimised bale dimensions and bale weights ensure efficient truck loading.

Some new energy-saving developments will be presented for this machine at the trade fair stand, which is more than 200 m² in size. These include a novel frequency-controlled drive concept which makes it possible to use less drive power to achieve the same throughput and identical press stroke cycle times, thereby saving 40% of energy in comparison to traditional drives.

A further highlight at the HSM trade fair stand is the AK 4014 V semi-automatic channel baling press, which has an integrated hydraulic lifting and tipping device that allows the press to be filled easily and conveniently. With a pressing power of 400 kN, it is the efficient disposal solution for compressing packaging material at retailers and dealers. The machine has a new and innovative cylinder design and all its control units on one side, so it can be placed in a corner, which leaves more free space in the aisle for manoeuvring pallets etc.

The HSM 6060 TriShredder will also be on display at the exhibition stand. This bulk shredder uses a triple shredding system to dispose of sensitive data waste and is perfectly equipped to deal with large quantities of up to 2.5 tonnes per hour. Against the background of ever-increasing data protection and business security requirements, this new bulk shredder provides a valuable service.

 The HSM trade fair motto is “Time for new standards”, and under this aspect HSM will demonstrate its innovations in energy efficiency, economic efficiency and reduction of disposal costs. The focus will also be on the “Made in Germany” quality of HSM products, and on the exceptional service provided by the company.
