Bales for Bins
02.09.2005 - Reduce Your Number of Bins / Empties by Baling Waste
Renting bins and skips is very costly. Not only is there the high price of having them regularly emptied, which is likely to increase as landfill charges escalate, but there is also the nuisance cost. This arises from bins blowing over with rubbish being scattered around your premises, vandalism and even arson.
Baling your waste, particularly the cardboard, plastic and other recyclable materials, can significantly reduce the cost of disposal and the hassle associated with the nuisance element. What is more, some of the materials may be collected for free or even sold for reprocessing.
Even if you are producing small amounts of waste, a baler of an appropriate size, will provide savings. Meanwhile, for larger volumes, a mill-sized machine will produce bales that can be sent or sold directly to, as the name suggests, the mill, thereby maximising income from the waste.
Even small stores and retailers (adapt to other applications / market sectors) are left with a reasonable amount of cardboard or plastic to dispose of. Therefore, a payback on the purchase or rental of a baler can be obtained quickly. For example, the HSM VL45 will handle up to fifty kilograms of waste per bale yet only requires a 13amp power supply.
Other advantages of the VL45 include an ergonomic loading height with a large filling aperture for easy loading and an automatic mechanical bale ejector. The machine also takes up only a small footprint of space and can be operated from the front.
