2007-10-24 - HSM “compresses” at the “K” trade fair in Düsseldorf

In hall 11, at stand H26 of 96 m², HSM GmbH + Co. KG, the manufacturer of baling presses and system solutions based in Salem, Germany, will be presenting its HSM Crusher 1049 SA and other products. It invalidates, perforates and compresses PET non-returnable bottles and cans in a single procedure. In doing so, it reduces the volume of material to a quarter of its original size. After being crushed the bottles and cans are collected in a practical receptacle.

The compact and robust machine is manually loaded through the funnel tube. 60 to 70 bottles can be fed in one go. In 90 seconds the contents are completely compressed. The HSM Crusher is also a combination device that can be used with all current deposit return machines to form a fully automated system.

Another highlight at the exhibition stand is the V-Press 860 vertical baling press for PET bottles or hard plastics, with a pressing power of 420 to 532 kN. The PET model is equipped with a single loading flap with side plates which makes for easier bottle loading. The structural engineering of the press has also been optimised and specifically developed for compressing PET bottles and hard plastics, such as monitor and television casings. The resulting bales are very impressive. The bale of crushed bottles can weigh up to 350 kg.
