2005-09-01 - Preview of the drinktec 2005

In hall A6, at stand 126, HSM Pressen GmbH + Co. KG, the manufacturer of baling presses and system solutions based in Salem, Germany, will be presenting its HSM Crusher 1049 SA and other products. It invalidates, perforates and compresses PET non-returnable bottles and cans in a single procedure. In doing so, it reduces the volume of material to a quarter of its original size. After being crushed the bottles and cans are collected in a practical receptacle.

The compact and robust machine is manually loaded through the funnel tube. 60 to 70 bottles can be fed in one go. In 90 seconds the contents are completely compressed.

The HSM Crusher is also a combination device that can be used with all current deposit return machines to form a fully automated system.

The cutting unit of the PF 1200 perforator will also be on view at the HSM stand. This appliance prepares the PET bottles for improved compression in the professional waste disposal industry, where large amounts have to be crushed. It makes holes to allow any air in the PET bottles to escape during the pressing process. The PF 1200 perforator has a cutting output of 80,000 to 100,000 one-litre bottles per hour.

Another highlight at the stand is the PET version of the vertical baling press VL 500.3 with a pressing force of 540 kN. The press ram has been improved and specifically developed for crushing PET bottles. The resulting bales are very impressive. The bale of crushed bottles weighs 375 kg.
In hall B6, at stand 103/143/502/542, Krones AG, a customer of HSM,
 HSM VK 1206 + PF 600
 HSM VK 1206 + PF 600
will be displaying the fully automated VK 1206 channel baling press with its pressing force of 160 kN as an automated solution in conjunction with the PF 600 Perforator and a conveyor belt. This HSM machine is located outside and will perform all waste disposal for Krones at the fair. You can also watch the system in action during the fair.
