2009-10-21 - HSM Presents Energy Saving Baling Presses at the Entsorga in Cologne, Germany

From the 27th to the 30th of October 2009 at the Entsorga-Enteco in Cologne, Germany, HSM GmbH + Co. KG of Frickingen, Germany, manufacturers of paper shredders, paper cutters and baling presses, will once again present new and interesting machines from the HSM Environmental Technology product range in Hall 7.1, Stand C60-E65.

The absolute highlight at the exhibition stand is the completely automatic HSM VK 12018 R channel baling press for professional waste disposal businesses and large industrial applications. With the extremely high pressing force of 1200 kN and a large filler opening of approx. 1000 x 1800 mm, the HSM VK 12018 R is suitable for the most varied materials such as, for example, cartons, paper and foils but also for bulky goods, DSD goods (Germany’s Dual System), sorted waste and substitute combustible materials are no problem for the multi-talent.

Depending on the material, the bales reach a weight of up to 1100 kg for a length of 1200 mm, have a bale size of approx. 1100 x 1100 x 600-2000 mm and are held together by fully automatic wire banding, also for strongly expansive materials. The optimum bale dimensions and weight ensure economical truck loading.

At the exhibit stand with an area of more than 220 m², several energy saving new developments are introduced for this machine. For example, an innovative, frequency regulated drive concept which makes possible lower drive power consumption for identical through-put performance or identical cycle time of a press stroke. This allows the use of smaller motors and thereby saves considerable energy costs. An additional advantage of the frequency regulated drive is the “soft start”. As a result, the switch-on current of the machine is reduced and again energy is saved

In keeping with our exhibition motto “Time for New Standards”, HSM demonstrates its ability to innovate with respect to energy efficiency, economical operation and saving of disposal costs. An additional focus is on the HSM “Made in Germany” quality and the extraordinary service character.
