2010-12-20 - HSM optimises the website and restructures the product area
HSM GmbH + Co. KG, the Baden-based manufacturer of document shredders, cutting machines and baling presses has revamped its website and incorporated some new features. The aim is to generally improve navigation and the way information is organised for all the products in office and environmental technology.
Accessing the product area will now be far easier for the user. For instance, document shredders are divided into four application areas – private/home office (for 1–3 people), workplace (for 3–8 people), large offices/office floor (for 8–15 people) and archives/large bulks (for more than 15 people). This creates a better overview of the application area according to the HSM SECURIO, HSM Classic, HSM shredstar and HSM Powerline product ranges. A new filtering tool can now sort all the different product versions according to various options, such as metal detection or PAPERcontrol. For each version, there are now pages with product details where you can find photos, videos, operating instructions, as well as the appropriate accessories. The new pictures are scaled to size and also provide a clear view of the space requirement.
An absolute highlight of the relaunch is the integrated product finder for document shredders (at the moment only in German available) – the product finder for baling presses has already been up-and-running for some time now. The HSM product finder can be used here to help answer a variety of questions that need to be answered before the right document shredder is purchased. By just clicking on the answers, the user is taken to the right machine quickly and reliably. In addition to questions about security levels, it is also important to know how much paper and what format needs to be shredded in one cycle. Many HSM document shredders are also able to shred data media, such as CD ROMs, DVDs and credit cards. Several machines can easily manage stacks of paper with paper-clips or staples. A variety of diagrams and videos have been included for each product. Whatever your requirements for the right document shredder – the product finder provides a selection of suitable machines according to your question. Therefore, not all the questions have to be answered before a relevant result appears. Once the user has found a document shredder, he can proceed along the “e-commerce chain” to the purchasing procedure directly using the Commerce Connector.
